Wills and Estates:
What is a Will?
A Will is a written document that tells how you want your property and assets to be disposed of after your death.  Indiana has
certain legal requirements for a Will to be enforceable.  I can help you plan your estate to make sure that it will be disposed of
as you want.  A Will can also set forth how you want your children cared for after your death.  If you die with a Will, your estate
is testate.

Why is Estate Planning Important?
Estate planning tells your family how you want your estate to be divided and helps to protect your assets.  A Will provides
emotional and financial structure for your family and helps your family make important decisions during a stressful time.  A
Will can provide for the needs of your children.

Living Will Declaration and Power of Attorneys:
A Living Will Declaration puts into words what you want to happen if you are terminally ill, your death will occur in a short time,
and use of life prolonging procedures would only serve to artificially prolong your death.   Do you want artificial nutrition?  Do
you want artificial hydration?  Or maybe you want your health
care representative to make the decision if the time comes.   The
State of Indiana has a wonderful website which discusses Advanced Directives and Living Wills...
